Site Templates (Starter, Byte, Haven)

Applies to: Codeless

Overview

When you create a Codeless project, you pick a site template — a starter recipe with sample pages, content types, and configuration. Templates speed up launch so you edit real structure instead of a blank site.

Key concepts

  • Starter — general-purpose marketing CMS with Mercury theme defaults.
  • Byte — SaaS and product marketing patterns.
  • Haven — community or member-portal style layouts.
  • Marketplace template — optional industry packs (may cost credits; check version compatibility).

You cannot switch template after creation without rebuilding the project — choose deliberately.

Steps — choose at creation

  1. In New Project, select Drupal CMS (Codeless).
  2. On the site template step, read each tile description.
  3. Pick the layout closest to your sitemap — you will delete sample pages later in Drupal.
  4. On the theme step, Starter allows marketplace swaps; Byte / Haven may limit swaps.
  5. Click Create Project and wait for ready.

Additional packs add content types and demo content for niches (events, publishers, etc.). Confirm credit cost and Drupal CMS version on the tile.
