Overview
One-click module updates let Codeless owners install vetted Drupal module updates from the dashboard — security and bug fixes without SSH or Composer. A module is a packaged feature (contact forms, SEO tools, etc.) maintained by the Drupal community.
Key concepts
- Contrib module — community extension FlexSite allows on Codeless (not custom agency code).
- Update badge — alert on Overview when updates are available.
- Deployment — FlexSite applies the update and may restart services briefly.
Steps
- Open project or environment Overview when an update badge or advisory appears.
- Open the module updates section (wording may be “Updates available”).
- Read the list — note module names and version jumps.
- Click Update on one module, or Update all if your policy allows.
- Wait for deployment to complete.
- Quick Login → Extend to confirm versions if you are verifying manually.
Safety workflow
- Apply updates on dev or staging first.
- Editors smoke-test critical forms and pages.
- Sync Environment to production when satisfied.
Platform may snapshot before updates — see Backups.
Limits
- Custom modules and FlexLab Composer packages are not managed here.
- Major Drupal core upgrades follow FlexSite maintenance windows — watch advisories.
If an update fails, read environment Overview banners before retrying.
